Vibrations
Hello, I have a 1999 Ford Ranger Supercab with the 4.0, 5R55E auto trans. 4x4, 4.10 gears and I have a vibration in somewhere, under hard acceleration it is worse and the steering where shakes a little, when I get to about 50-70 mph (haven't went much faster since it started because not sure what it is) it gets more of a whole truck vibration in the seat and cab and floor boards, kinda annoying to drive on long trips because it is a vibration that has a humming with it. Had the u-joints check the other day when I was getting the brakes done and they told me that they were all tight. The vibrations have been going on for about 3-4 months now and have been getting slowly worse, have put about 4,000 miles on the truck since it started and they haven't been easy miles (I like the gas pedal a little to much) plus towing a 7,000 pound trailer 200 miles. And to add to it I just started getting a whine if I get the rpms up a bit, it sounds like a bearing whine but I have replaced everything on the front of the engine except for the water pump, and harmonic balancer, and the water pump is not leaking. just wondering if anybody have any ideas of what it might be, thank you. I really appreciate it.
