Glenn,
Changed out the MC with a '97 350 MC and replaced the RAB and now I have brake pedal like it should have had all along. everything has been replaced except the hard lines. Thanks for the help!
Ben
All 97's have what they call zero loss MC. F5TZ-2005-CA part #. I think when you start getting into the 450's they have hydroboost brakes, a system that uses power steering fluid pressure instead of vacuum pressure from our vacuum pumps.
Cool Glenn! I didn't know that about the 97's. I have read about the soft pedal but never had that problem, now I know why lol.
I have also been finding trucks with relatively low mileage "300,000-400,000 miles." Does anyone know how to accurately tell a trucks mileage by looking at certain parts or engine wear & tear?

Unless there's a long running history of oil changes with dates that you can track down from a third party, then it's really a roll of the dice.
But I will say from my experience, there's not much difference in a 300k or 400k motor. If it's taken care of, 500k isn't that big a deal.
The key is figuring out how well it was maintained.
