Drivers side valve cover

Drivers side valve cover

Has anyone ever had their vent nipple on the drivers side valve cover break off? Mine did and all I did was jb welded it back on. I was wounder if it would be better just to remove it and drill a hole and place a grommet and a new nipple? And thanks for all of the knowledge that is being given here it has been very useful.

Never had that happen, but anything involving broken nipples sounds painful.
