Just got a 1965 F-100. I need to replace the water pump. Short of cutting the fan shroud in half to make it easier to remove does anyone know of a better way to remove it?
My 55 does not have a shroud, but my Bronco does, to get the fan off it, you have to take the fan loose and then take the fan loose and remove both at the same time. If you have a 66 with a shroud, that is way cool.

If you even remotely considered that as a possibility, maybe you should take it somewhere if get it repaired. Tearing up one part of the truck to repair another part is less than ideal.

Remove the 4 screws/bolts from fan shroud and move it rearward so you can get at fan bolts. Unbolt fan and remove both together... Does not get much easier than that!
I agree. I had no intentions of cutting it in half. I was able to move the shroud to the rear and it did come out pretty well. Thank you everyone for your advice. The new pump is on and working great.
