Edge E.A.S. w/EGT Probe
Okay so I think I am ready to install the Edge Accessory System Probe to monitor EGT's. Does anyone have a photo showing where the best place to do this?
I have the 2004 Excursion 6.0L. If anyone has a photo that would be awesome as well.
I am not a mechanic but I think I should be able to do this.

It took me about an hour or so to drill and tap the hole in my manifold. Get whatever size tap that comes with the instructions and you should be good to go. I started drilling small and shop-vac'd the whole after each bit. I also vacuumed the hole after using the tap. The hardest thing is figuring out a good tool to hold and turn the tap (unless you've got a nice set already).

there are some really good threads on using various size drill bits, not using grease, etc. during the drilling. Just type in egt probe and you will have all the reading you want. Here is a thread I posted after I put mine in. Hope it helps. You will be fine just take yur time.
