The heck with hanging on your wall, I would make a full set and run them on the slick. Next big rage replacing 22" spinners. Call em "Time Caps" or "Fast Times". I think your on to something, Bill!

Fun Project,

I think your on to something there!
And Dave, it was your cool looking SlickStock clocks the got the wheels turning.
I stopped by Michael's the other day. I got this single rare F250 innie hubcap in a big batch of parts I picked up the other day. So I won't tell anyone you drilled a hole in yours if you don't tell anyone I drilled a hole in mine lol. You can see the hands in this picture but from across the room it's really hard to see the hands. I haven't decided yet but I may paint the white hubcap black? My wife says just to paint the hands black. What do you guys think?

I think it'd look great with black hands and numbers
Black hands and numbers. Maybe red numbers. If you painted the cap you'd have to take the self stick numbers off or do a lot of masking. Tell your wife she's right ......for once. (then duck)
Can't be bothered to work on the truck right now. Thanks for my freshly painted slickstock clock Dave. I didn't paint the numbers and I think I can see it better now.
Yeah the original paint did look a little brighter. Thanks for clearing that up for me Bill. I was just going to paint the hands black but it needed a paint job and Bill W painted his Wimbledon White so I painted mine the same color. BTW thanks for all the great suggestions including my wife's who for once, the only time ever was right lol duck! I never heard of Colonial White. I'm going to check it out to see if it matches whats on my truck. I might paint it again later but for now it's a resto-mod clock just like my truck lol. I think the clock would look outstanding with a picture of my truck on it.
Hey Mister Wilson! 1961/66 hubcaps were painted Colonial White (a bright white) not Wimbledon White (an off-white aka cream).
Also painted Colonial White were standard cab grilles, front bumpers, contoured rear bumpers.
1961/66 Warranty Plate white exterior color codes:
1961/63: M = Corinthian White (different shade than Colonial White).
1964/66: M = Wimbledon White (introduced 1964).
1964/66: C = Pure White (a different shade of white than the other three).
I even think my lower dash (which is unpadded and painted red above and white below the aluminum trim) may be painted Colonial White on bottom even though the truck is exterior paint code JM (Rangoon/Wimbledon).
I must be missing something here, JM for my '62 means Rangoon/Corinthian and in '66 the M is Wimbledon but I don't see a J-code or Rangoon in the PPG book for '66?
okay my friend called me up yesterday to come back over to get more F100 parts from a past project. You guessed it, he found the other three innie hubcaps and a pair of innie rims among other things, and all are in good shape. So now I have a complete set of innie hubcaps (including one that Bill W corrupted me to make into a clock ) and a pair of innie rims. How rare is this stuff, and is it worth anything? What slicks had factory innie rims and hubcaps? I also have a full set of outie rims and hubcaps for my truck. Those are not good for clocks lol. My wife complains if I let this stuff accumulate. What would you do?
