We only run the lights when no one else is on the road. We live in Montana where we have long dark roads. It's nice to be able to see a mile ahead, legal or not

i got these ones called lightforce, i got the 140's 170's and 240's , they seem to light up the road pretty good. you cant even tell the stock lights are on when you just turn on one set of the lightforces.

That's what I do too sometimes, of course I have so much forward lighting that I really can't use it when other drives are in front of me or coming at me. As for legality, I never quite understood the logic behind having to keep your overhead lights covered while on public roads - if you look at them tractor-trailers in Europe, four to six giant offroad lights on top of the cab are pretty much standard equipment, of course with all the traffic drivers don't get to use them that much, but point is they are there just a switch away and ready for action when you need them. So I don't get it why our DOTs here are such douches about overhead lights, sure the staties can give nice tickets to the morons who have them lit up on busy roads, but writing people up for simply not having them lights covered implies said people are 100% certain to use them lights on busy roads - what happened to "innocent till proven guilty"? lol

LightForce are good lights. What's your total output, in wattage?

i would suggest the Hella 500FF, either in the fog lens shape, or the driving light. I have 2 500FF fogs in my bumper, and 4 700FF driving lights on my roll bar. Damn does that light everything up.
