Basically you have to disconnect the battery, remove the hood, remove all the external connections to the motor -- radiator & hoses, fuel line, electrical. Then remove exhaust, take off motor mount bolts and disconnect motor from trans. Using a lift remove the motor.
Take a lot of pictures and get some tape and label the wires and hoses so you can get it back together.

any help appreatchiated
If you suspect your block is unusable and you dont want anything more than a stock replacement engine, it might be just as easy to buy an already rebuilt long block or find a running used one. O'reileys and others sell rebuilt long and short blocks.
have 1976 .ford. f150. with.. 390 ..motor what other motors will fit in this truck with thincking of newer motor with.. efi .. any info apreatchiated thanks brian billings mt
Swapping in anything with efi will be more expensive and time consuming than I think you would want. Depending on where you're located lots of people find a running 390 for 350-600 bucks.
I'm not trying to be rude here, but a little punctuation goes a long way and makes it much easier to read.

Reason: spelling
there a deisals you can put in your truck but they'll take way more work than your looking it.. the cummins fit nice but motors alone run 1,000 bucks or more and the early 6.9/7.3 fit but require cab modification if you run a turbo... the powerstrokes need a massive wiring setup and computer to run them and are still very high in price...then theres mounts, trannys, exhoust, radiator and plumbing....personnalyi'd keep chasing a 369-390-428 or maybe a 352...its nt the most powerful but would get the truck moving again..
as for v8 motors i need to know3 things to tell ypu what to stuff in there..
1-what year is your trucks frame???
2-is it auto or stick?
3-is it 2 or 4 wheel drive????
Dude you are making my head hurt. No offense but you need to download Firefox and use the built in spell check. Plus, like mentioned before, a little punctuation goes a long way.
As for your question as to what will fit: anything will fit if you have the time and money.
have 1976 ford fi50 need help info on removing motor frome truck so i can rebuild it
I may be wrong, but I get the idea that you may not be qualified to tackle a task such as an engine swap. I say this by the type of questions you are asking.
My advise would be to save your money. buy a crate motor, and pay a professional to install it and break it in for you.
you can then learn more about the mechanics of the motor by performing the basic routine maintenance and replacement of bolt on accessories.
