need some help 04 6.0
truck was running fine stoped to get a cup of coffe started the truck up ran for a few seconds heard a light small bang noise truck died,tried to restart the engine was turning over real fast and unevenly like some sort of timing problem panic set in craked it over a few more time then it started ? no codes 60 psi of fuel pressure 750 psi icp pressure engine was hot.the only thing i noticed for about a week my fuel pressure has been jumping from 60 psi to 70 psi and i can hear the rpms go up and down slighty im thinking my regulator stuck open and drained fuel back and i was air bound anyone have any ideas

It sounds like ICP or IPR to me., but we need more info.
Any codes?
Any mods?
Have you had any work done recently?
What about filter change history?
What type of oil?
Has it been extremely cold there?
Is your ICP connector on the passenger valve cover?

well it had no codes clean motorcraft filters no mods other then guages 3k on oil and filters no work done at all this is a virgin 6.0 with 34k on the odo the thing that makes this a purple heron is when it would not start i had 60 psi fuel pressure 750 icp pressure while cranking so that rules out icp problems .the dam thing sounded like it was out of timimg just real uneven fast cranking then all of the sudden it started and has been running fine since so fare i put about 100 miles on it all .sensors reading perfect
