Mine has stoped working. I have checked the prob its still there, pulled the gauge all wires are conn nothing loose, traced the wires all conn are tite and no bare spots on the wires any were. The hot wire is still hot that goes to the gauge beside the black wire. This is the two that run in the bottem of the gauge. Dont now how to check the yellow and red wire that comes from the probe that goes to the back of the gauge. So any help would be great>>>>>>>
You can test the probe with a meter that can read millivolts (look for a "mV" setting). One that has a 2 volt setting might also work. I'm not sure what reading you should get, but a reading that changes when you apply heat would mean its probably still good and its something in the gauge itself. Does the probe connect directly to the gauge, or to a box that has other wires that connect to the gauge?
I've head the ultralights close to 5 years now and they have been flaky since the day I put them in. Occasionally the pyro decides it wants to go poltergheist and spin in circles. transmission temp has never been accurate, about 40* high....I have replaced the probe.
