Crazy Problems 2005 5.4
I have an 05 F-150 Lariat 5.4 and it has been going haywire today. While driving if I hit a hard bump the power will cut off (radio, a/c) and even sometimes the truck. Check engine light came on and I pulled codes P2160 & P0506. Also, when it completely cuts off and I start it back up it says "engine in failsafe mode". Does anybody have any idea what is going on? Thanks.

You have a loose connection somewhere. I would start by checking all the grounds first, and then move on to the connectors on the ECU. The reason I would start with grounds is that I had my transmission replaced in my 04 and the shop stripped the bolts on the starter. That's where the main ground is connected on one of the studs. I kept having the same thing, stalling, engine failsafe etc. After I replaced the starter( being loose it chewed it up)I replaced all the bolts & studs on it and of course with the ground secured properly again I have not had any problem again now in over 10k miles.
