new project sighted, need help on hiding it from the boss.

man i can get the smile off my face.A guy passed away a year ago and left his 95 f250 powerstroke(120,000) reg cab 5spd to his family .It took this long to get everything setteled.First week this truck had been ran for a year. The third day out someone hit the bed at the mall and junked the bed.the lady's grand son cut the bed off with a tourch instead of taking the time to use PB blaster. So being hair brained he cut into the rear fuel tank. Changing the tank it's not a bad job.but he screwed up the fuel line, diesel's love air in the fuel .Needless to say i can get a hell of a deal cause the truck wont run for some reason.I just need idea's on how to hide it from the boss.Just got my 92 f350 on the road after a year long project.HAHA she's a good ford truck loving women.

Tell her that it followed you home from school!

Oops! that might have been the dog that I told my mom about when I was a kid.

When she ask about it.... Say "What truck? Did you eat mushrooms for lunch?" That would make my Boss laugh and I might have a chance to win her over.

Good luck getting it in the garage. I hope you pull it off.

tell her it's just for parts and that there's more value in the scrap metal than what you paid for it. It worked for me.

Telling her its for parts might work. Or you could steal a page from all the old tractor collectors around my area: Bring it home in pieces. Tell her you practically stole it (sounds like u did). Plus its already missing pieces and lives up to the story. Pull a fender and a door and say it'll be an easy flip for some cash when its done, "acquire" the needed parts, then fall in love with it. This way its not even lying and cant come back to bite you in the ***. (unless the not running thing is serious, but it sounds like you know more about diesels than I do, not hard to do)

Being Bossless isn't as bad as you think.

2 of the below are drivers, 2 are WIP's that run and then there is the Mustang I have had for 26 years, its been with me through many GF's, a Boss and a Firing of the Boss!
