93 Explorer Statring Problem
My daughter went to start her 93 Explorer the other day and she said it made a loud popping noise and would not start. Any ideas? I t will turn over now but will not start.

Was the popping possibly backfiring? Maybe the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor is out of spec and causing an overly rich condition. Or I suppose a sticking Idle Air Control (IAC) might make a popping noise.
Have you tried lightly opening the throttle while trying to start the engine to see if that will allow the engine to start? How about metering in some throttle body cleaner to see if that will allow it to start.
