Hey guys I'm just curious how the fuel mileage on the overhead computer works. Where is it taking its reading? It's doesn't seem to be very accurate. My buddy has a Dodge Hemi and his meter is right on.
I found that with the DP in a non stock tune I was getting great readings. After resetting it and leaving the truck in stock mode, I found it to be rather accurate when double checked by hand.
It averages mileages. If you coast at all it adds that to the collective mileage. It looks great, but once I got 27 mpg out of my truck it averaged out to only 24. I like it cause it makes me feel good about getting 15mpg when I'm really getting 12. Comfort thing haha
my lieometer is pretty close, but then again i dont have a chip or tuner. that why i call my EX a lady, cause it lies allot.. and tells me how handsome i am.
