Was a MK myself before going to the darkside and making Warrant. Stationed at Neah Bay twice and Port Angeles on the land side. Couple of cutters, two Loran Stations,and Afloat Training Group.

I visited the Sycamore when I was with the Afloat training Group out of Everett. I was the MKC ,Lead Engineering Instructor/Evaluator, it would have been from 2001-2005. You guys had a good engineering crew on that boat.

Depends on what kind of Transceiver. I have an FT-7900. Looking for an HF rig now.
If you didn't live in the desert I might be interested in getting together. I've been in the desert. Moved back to the NW rainforest. ;o)

Yep! I had an old Jeep that I ran on "wood-gas" for several years, and also had a "gas generator" that we used for cooking at my gold mine.......
That must of been a strange pregnancy since I'm 62...lol

I'm looking for an all-mode mobile like the FT-857 or IC-706.
Too hot, too cold, too boring, not enough color. I grew up in the rain forest region so desert just doesn't do anything for me. It's a decent place to visit or drive through... ;o)

I like it on the 'wet' side too........but I find myself always heading to the high country or CO to play........I have grown to dislike the coast over the years, too many tourists and rowdy atv people. The only time I go to the coast is for Fall salmon, and I stay on the river.
