bucket seats

anybody here converted their bench seat to buckets?
my bench sucks and is uncomfortable. i had the captain's chairs in my 86 f250, and oh they were nice- dual armrests, plush upholtery.
is my best option to find buckets out of a 87 or newer, or find anything that works?

yeah any seats will fit with some fabrication. I had a bench in my 93 and put captians seats with a flip down console in mine. best mod I ever did to my truck.

I had take-out seats and center console from a 94' truck installed in my truck. I didn't like the bench seats it came with. Never regretted that mod.

fast answer, anything from 80 to 96 will fit with minimal fab, the floors never changed . nor the basic structure of the trucks . broncos are good donors too .

Drove a Kenworth while at a truck leasing co. here, and liked the seats. Measured the seats while at the low spot, then at high. Converted measurements to a 150, will fit. Some conversion for the base, but you will have that in all change overs...
I weigh a buck 40, so I wont need all that air for the ride...
I also figure, you can retrofit the lumbar support system form the origional seats, which I don't/can't use anyway, to supply the seats with air...

Any F-Series 80-99 will fit without mod. You may want to avoid bronco seats as you will most likely have to modify.

My 94 Bronco seats did not fit into my 96 f150. Floorpans and mounting brackets are different. bronco - buckets , f150 - bench

ill beg to differ, yes they are the same, as they list the same # for the tracks and what not . fords not that dumb, although there is a under floor reinforcment that is different between bench and bucket. its as simple as drilling holes, on my 91 f150 i used e150 van seats on 86 bronco tracks!

Well I know I took the seats out of my truck and bronco. Sat the bronco seats in my truck and the mounts were not close..I couldn't use my bucket seat bracket because its only mounted to the seats on 2 sides.

yes mounting holes may be different, you have to drill new holes.

That's what im getting at...the mounts didn't fit on the floor to drill holes..they were shaped wrong. There was about a 1/2" gap between mount and the floor.
