washer fluid boiling.. ???

O.k. here is a good one, 08 150 with a plow and all the wiring , tghe other day ,took to dealership because battery was dead and they replaced,,, went out plowing for about 5 hours and needed to use the washer fluid ,it comes out boiling,, and opened up hood and felt it for myself and sure enough ,it is hot and almost to the boiling point or very hot,, nothing feels to hot ,battery is warm but i cant see that doing it,, any thoughts on this ,new ,it was quite unusual to see steam come out of the jets,, either that or it is too cold and just a chemical reaction,, i dont want to take to dealership but if it is the battery maybe blowing again, iwill take back .

This is a wierd one. The only thing I can think of that might cause this is some sort of short circuit in the washer pump. That would generate heat and possibly kill your battery.

I've been trying to check it out today,, but it is empty,, the only thing i can think of ,, is the heater was on full blast constantly ,and the way the hose is running and the cold ,the dealership filled it up when it was in for the new battery and maybe they are using differetn stuff ,, no idea, checked out the pump part and seems to be o.k. ,nothing hot ,but battery is hot ,,, so maybe with the plow controls and using to much power for the alt. to handle and is heating up the battery ,, no idea but will keep an eye on this and will take a video of it as it is pretty funny and strange ,but the window s do get clean pretty fast ..

The folks at GM actually put that option in their trucks & make you pay extra for it! You got it from Ford for free! You should be happy!...(LOL)

It was a bad ground for the plow wiring, when the dealership changed battery ,they screwed up one of the ground wires ,and i was told that if there is a bad ground ,it looks for a ground and the wiring will get hot ,so it is fixed now ,i was trying to get a video of it ,but fixed now.. thanks .
