my tunes dont seem to have the low end power that my previous tunes did. have you noticed anything like that?

I've tried to "get" to Colorado 3 times and everytime I get close something breaks or the boss calls and says run here or run there!
Got those yellow door handles installed on the Ex yet?

what you maybe noticing is the fact that Bill leaves the throttle alone. By that I mean he doesn't make the computer think you're at 1/2 throttle when really you at 1/4. Its a common trick with some tuners and boxed chips. Makes you think it has way more power, when all it really is is they change the way the computer reads the throttle pedal sensor. Bill leaves all that alone so you get a nice smooth, predicable pedal.
as far as low end goes, I've got all I need and I pull a 18K 5th wheel all the time
You can always call Bill and ask him to adjust it.

thats exactly what cody said...i guess ill have to get used to it. they seem to be great...and cody said the lack of smoke is due to efficiency...which is great also. what setting do you keep yours in all the time? 80DD? some have said 120 race is great for everyday driving. thanks for the assistance. the more i drive the truck, the more comfortable i feel. i guess the previous tunes were playing mind games with me...thanks again

I run mine in 80DD when I'm not towing. that's the "biggest" tune I have. All my other tunes are towing tunes.

I'm pretty much the same Barney BUT I just can't help myself & have to hit the 120r every once in awhile just for sh-ts & giggles...lol I believe your dead on about the go-peddle & I for one like the feel.

Pretty much the same here; towing tunes & 80DD... LOVE my 80DD! I've found the 40 & 65 Tow pretty good for around town driving too FWIW. They keep me from mashing the trottle (for that big grin) and save a bit of fuel.

For those of you that can keep your foot out of the throttle what kind of milage do you see with PHP. I have been trying to decide what chip or tuner to go with (DP, TS, or PHP) but can really seem to get it figured out. I like a little more power but am mostly concerned with fuel economy.

Thanks, I have a 4 position chip and am not going to replace it unless I am confident that I can get MPGS.

I here you, no sense in changing just for the sake of changing. Who's tunes are on there now?

No idea, the previous owner could not tell me and nobody else has been able to either. I wonder if I could just get someone else to put tunes on it insead of buying a new one?

I hear the guy at total diesel performance can put his tunes on the old chips. Lots of guys speak highly of his tunes.

almost all builders can "reburn" a chip...thats what i had done. bought a used chip, first had Cale at BTS burn his tunes, and now have Bills from PHP. Bill charged 25 per tune, and Cale (at the time) was charging 50 for as many as needed. just give a call around to the builders: Tony wildman, swamps, beans, PHP, Cale, etc..talk to the builders and let them know your plans...they wont steer you wrong. i just chose PHP because i heard alot of great things and wanted to try them out...good luck
