disk brake proportioning valve???
I messed up and didnt grab the proportioning valve from the truck I took the front end out from under before we scraped it. They had already shipped the truck out by the time I got back down to the scrap yard. Now I need a disk brake propostioning valve to go with my Dana 44 disk brake front end.
The question I have dose it have to be off of a 4x4 3/4 ton truck like mine or can i get one off of a 2wd with disk brakes on the front?

this is my exact problem i ran into except the place i got my 79 front disc 44 from they strip the car for you then you just pick up the parts. they forgot to grab the proportioning valve. what year truck did you get your axle out of? here's a question do all the later style axles with disc brake fronts use the same prop valve or do they vary from model to model year to year?

if u can find one close to the same year you got the axle out of, then a 2wd prop. valve will work. im not sure if they change thoughout the years, but the same thing happened to me on my dads bronc, we got all cought up in the moment and forgot the little stuff, so we got one out of a 2wwd truck and it works just fine.
