Tires

Was wondering what is the largest tire (without any rubbing or mods) that will fit on a stock 4x4 v10 excursion?

I have Dick Cepek FCII's, 33x12 1/2 on 17x10" rims. As far as I can tell stock everything, 4x4 v10, and I haven't felt or heard any rubbing.

Lots of threads here - I have 285/75/16's on mine and have had no issues at stock height.

I believe it is the 305 (315?) x with the narrow tread that will fit. Chime in?

How do you like the FCII'S? I am thinking of getting a set for our excursion.

315 75R 16's on a stock rim will definitely rub the rear of the front leaf spring at full lock (but not annoyingly so IMO). 305's I'm not sure about.

I have one (305) in the garage and will check for you this weekend.

I love the FCII's, ride great, great wear so far. They also look awesome, and aren't too loud, but that is relative per person. They are not the quietest tire out there, but for how aggressive they are I am impressed. Pulled a thunderbird out of my alley on all soft fluffy snow without any wheelspin, up an incline and everything, no help from the car.

I know they will but I was referring to the narrow one (not the 75).

The first number on the tire IS the width.

OK the height then. There was a post on it, I think it was a 60.

How many miles do you have on them so far?
