They just aren't as perty as the 56 and older trucks... Seriously tho, everyone has a body style that flips their dipper and you have found yours. I think that the 57 and up start the boxy truck trend that is still going on today...

I know exactly what you're saying. My '59 just sort of fell into my hands and it grew on me. Sure it's not as nice looking as a '48 but I really like it. I like that it was the first year of a "modern truck", styleside bed, OHV engine, syncro transmssion, 12v electrical. Some of that came earlier but I've always thought of these as the first modern truck, but still think of them as classic. Whereas even the early 60's I just see as "old trucks" but not classics.

59 and 60s are very nice looking trucks..i wouldnt pass on one...the older ones are more desirable specially 56...i tried getting a 63 from my f.in.law a 60 from my gfs grandpa but no luck...63 and older are the better looking ones(to me)...51-52 are the ones i like the best tho

Nothing is wrong with my 60, it is just that all the other years have Head light envy. They try to compare their trucks to ours and as soon as the see the front, they know they come up short. Four over Two wins.

Any Ford is good, and since this is my Ford it's the best.

Don't worry, just enjoy.

Of the 57-60 models, the 60 has by far the nicest front end. The 58 & 59 have the good looking quad headlights but the grills aren't as nice. Of course that is just my opinion.

Being born in 57, I wouldn't mind having one from that year but OMG, and sorry to any 57 owners, that is an ugly truck.
