cut em and forget them or tear apart the drum and fix em the right way good thing to note about e-brakes either use them regulary or forget em totaly cause when they arnt used and you try engaging them they will sieze and never move again

Disconnect the front cable from the rears. Junction is on driver's side near front of bed. Now try the pedal-works=rears frozen no work=front cable frozen. I don't really like to pull on the rear cables too much as it is a pain trying to get the drums off with the emerg brake on.

225 I see your in MA. Odds are both front and rear cables are seized. Not worth trying to free them up. I replaced the rears on my 87 F250 this past fall. Maybe $36-40 for both rear cables.

Easiest way is to replace entire cable assemblies so you it's all good... going without is not the best... I for one have needed a E-brake on one than one vehicle who had main brake failures...

I would isolate the cables first to see which ones might be seized. When I first got my 87 the emerg brake pedal would not move. Disconnected at the junction and the pedal moved freely.

I got both my cables from NAPA. Interesting: one side made in USA, one in China. Don't know if they have a listing for other parts. Hit up our sponsors or any other sites. To get an idea of prices and availability.

Junkyard, dealer, or might have to make the rod (if that's what you cut).
