Question

This will fit in a 10.5 rear end, correct? Does it still work or does it slip?

I think it will fit the 10.5 but i dont know for sure. It would always leave two black patches on the tar, but would sometimes spin just one tire on a slippery surface like ice.

My mistake.

I hate to rain on your parade, but I don't think that rear end is a limited slip. looks like an open diff to me. Just an FYI.

Never mind, my mistake. I was given some incorrect information and it appears as though it may indeed be a LS differential. Sorry for the confusion on my behalf.

Any idea how much would it cost to ship to 44691?

I need to think about this a bit. I have some other things to do before I will be ready to take this project on. I have an engine swap to finish for a family member, and a Jeep front differential to replace for another family member. And then there is the air filter, down pipe and new spring mounts on my truck...yeah, may be a while. I will let you know if I am interested. Thanks for the shipping quote. Not sure if I want to go this route or just rebuild the clutch packs in mine.

you may find that your gear ratio info ius faulty. trac locks for 10.25 sterlings come in 2 differnt gear ratioo set-ups and never the 2 shall meet.

No you are wrong. I looked it up in my differentials manual from Randy's Ring and pinion. It says they have no carrier breaks. I also looked for aftermarket posi's, no one makes parts for different gear ratios. And The only gear ratios that were offered from the factory in the 10.25 are 3.45, 3.73, and 4.10. so why would there be two different carries when they only had three different gear ratios?
If you really think it makes a difference my truck has 4.10 gears.
