Lock out hubs

Will the manual lock out hub cap and innards from a 86 F150 swap into the hub of a 92 F150 with auto locking hubs? I am having trouble with my 92 hubs unlocking getting through snow, I have a parts 86 truck with manual lockouts. Need to know if I have to switch the whole hub or if I can just switch out the insides. Thanks for any help or information.

are your autos held on by 5 screws?

if so than yes

they should be the same from 82 and up....same part number anyway

They should work-use the wheel bearing lock nut setup for the 86.
