Ok I have a 90 F-150 (302-4 speed) and on my way to school, I pushed in the clutch to go around a turn and as the motor droped to 1000 rpm the oil presure gauge botomed out and the "engine" light came on. What do you guys think is wrong? Oil Pump? twisted oil pump drive? Oil preasure sending unit?
Don't take this the wrong way, but have you checked to make sure you're not just low on oil? I had a '69 Mercury Cyclone that could corner so hard that if I was even a half quart low the oil light would come on.
yeah it dose have oil (just changed it yesterday) i started it up after class and the preasure was right where it should be. I wonder what was caused it? you guys got any ideas?
Just keep your eye on it ....I think it just tried to stall. Engine light came on, oil pressure dropped and then it fired up and kept goin'. At least I hope that was it.
