cruise control surge

I have a Job1 6.7,3.31 rear end,4wd,ext cab long bed, 18inch wheel package. I am having a cruise control surge that only occurres in 6th gear unloaded,climbing a slight but consistant grade or encountering a headwind. I notice it most in the boost guage. Took it to the dealer and it needed a software update so hoping that will fix it , but I think it is still there. It does not show up when towing or if you drop into 5th gear. Does not occure when controlling throttle with your foot. Running the truck in manual mode or tow-haul mode does not change the symptom. Sounds like others are experiencing this. Maybe we can put our experieces together and get this problem resolved.
