Rick,
My original plan was to get it band aided enough to drive it to him. But 30 mph for 1172 miles just isn't going to cut it. I'm having it shipped here. I really wanted to take the road trip and even had two buddies sign on for the adventure.....
The reason I got a quick build date was I just happened to be the lucky guy to call just after some had cancelled their build. I guess it was fate.....
Jason if you are serious I'm in!!!!! Goose neck or tow behind?????
Just pull the trans and you can put it in the back of a buddys truck and still make the trip. I promise you, it is worth the trip to see Brian do the build.

I'm serious. bumper, GN, 5ver - we gotcha covered!! We'll find out in a couple days if they are gonna be ready for me to actually start the project I'm here for - but its very likely I can escape long enough to pull this off. I even have people to stay with along the way.
Ok, I talked to project manager after you and there is no reason (as of now ) we aren't gonna be able to do this!
I can fill up my 200gal VO tank before leaving here and I have a couple places we can top-up between here and there. Gonna check with friends and see if we have a place to sleep about 1/2 way. Ask Brian where we should stay over there...
ROAD TRIP!!
Actually, I drive across the country alot - but I usually don't have a complete truck with me to use for spare parts!
Daisy will be coming with us - for security reasons of course... (she's viscous, ask anyone here who's met her!)
Jason here are our options for trailers. Tandem axle Goose neck rated at 10000lbs with a 6 pin round plug. Or tandem axle 10000 lb tow behind with 7 pin RV plug. I have adapters for the plugs and assuming the goose neck is the way to go for ride comfort. Both road worthy and bearings and hubs are right around a year old in each.
Let me know which one you want to use and I'll have the truck loaded and ready to go.
Mike, if ya think about it - ask if Brian can burn a new 6pos chip for me while we're there? I wish we could drive back with dual HPOP's, but I'm not quite ready yet...
Ok, the truck is loaded with 275gals of high-cholesterol fuel (plenty for this trip), some snacks for us and Daisy and lots of anticipation for a ROADTRIP! Well, another trip anyway - just to get primed, I went home for the weekend (1700 miles round trip ). Can't wait to spend some time at BTS again!!
Well, as long as Mike doesn't change his mind when I roll up in my 11yr old jalopy anyway!
