Antifreeze again??

Does anyone sell antifreeze online? Have early'99, read for years how to convert to ELC. Changed to Final Charge and then forum decided the early'99 needed to stay with green. Tried to locate Prestone HD with test strips online but draw blanks. Local suppliers don't have a clue.

"Normal" green with the SCA added will do the job. Get 4 gallons of standard green, a bottle or two of SCA additive, and the test strips. That's all you need...

How long have you been running Final Charge? I'm running it, but mine is an '02...

Izzy, Have had Final Charge for approx 6 months. Understood that regular "prestone green" was incorrect. Needed Heavy duty??

Thanks for response!!

Don't think so. AFAIK, original fill was conventional green with SCA additive...

Thanks Izzy, Guess I'll go back to basics. Seems like the more I read the more confused everyone was. I had always used conventional but thought I would try to improve. Wrong!!!

What is so wrong with using ELC (final charge) in an earlybird?? (I have a LATE '99 that I switched to final charge almost 3 years ago)

Supposedly the injector cup sealant and/or oil cooler seals can leak using ELC, but then again, we've seen those leak on "standard" coolant. There are several on here running ELC in early 99s, but time will tell. Robin had his injectors cups leak (early 99 w/ELC), but again, no way to tell if it was just "time", or the ELC.....
