bad m50d
I have a 1994 B4000 4x4 with a 4.0 and m50d-r1 5 speed manual tranny. 216,000 miles. The gear on the input shaft and the cluster gear right below it are bad. Does anyone know where is the best place to purchase these parts? I also need some instructions on rebuilding. I have rebuilt several automatic trannies, but this will be my first manual rebuild since my old 66 super sport several decades ago. Any help would be greatly appreiciated. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check with Ford for replacement parts or do some searches on line for tranny parts. Try an auto parts store for parts or suggestions on where to buy/order parts.
A factory service manual would be your best bet for repair directions. Search on E-Bay for one. Your local library may have a manual. I think any year's Ranger manual would give you the directions you need.
