Exhaust headers do not fit?
I have a 1986 F-250 4X4 automatic with 5.8L (351w) engine.
It came new with a Holley four barrel carb. I purchased the
Flowtech shorty tube exhaust headers to replace the original
cracked cast iron units. The information for the Flowtech headers
indicated they would fit to the original Y pipes. The left side fits
but the right side does not! What should I do now?

Could you take a picture and show us where it doesn't fit? I'm interested in shorties also, and I want to see what kind of issues I might run into.
1. Did you mount them up one at a time or both at the same time? Sometimes when you do one side at a time and tighten it up it wont work. Start both and slowly tighten them up.
2. If it clearly will not fit you can do two things. Return the headers or slightly bend the Y pipe to make it fit. You can either take this in to a muffler shop to get it done or do it yourself.
