Hi: I just made a video to enter a contest on Youtube. The contest is to make a video that shows your go to home defense weapon. I thought you might enjoy it. Here is the link.
My home defense is a 35 lb. English Springer Spaniel.
Very effective! He makes a lot of noise when someone comes near.
(He thinks that he's 85 or 90 lbs. Shhhhhhhh. Don't tell him he's a pip-squeak!)
If they get past him, they have to contend with my wife, especially if they've broken something to gain access to the house.
She'll kick some heiney if they mess up her floors!!!!!
Like the labs too! We've got a black and yellow also. They are definitely our first line of defense.
C'mon Dave...........If the intruders come equipped with steaks or hamburgers, the Lab defense is defeated! Labs think with their stomach first!....25yrs of Labs have taught me that.
Loved the Labs and the shooting, cant go wrong with the Beretta 92.
I do not have "one" home defense weapon.......there are a few "scattered" tactically in different rooms.

Great video, but I have a question. Do you have a flashlight? Its dark half the time and most likely a home invasion will be a night.
I opted for a tactical light mounted under the gun and have used it for pest control a couple times outside at night and am very satisfied with it.
Only problem with a tactical mount light is it gives the bad guy a real nice target to go for, especially when your firearm is held in front of you. I personally prefer a small LED flashlight I can hold to the side, away from my body.
.
I have a couple of yappers for my alarm. Two Shiu Tzus by breed. They have great hearing & bark loud. I have guns hidden in every room & one by my bed with a good flashlight with it. I hope I never have to use deadly force. I do believe in being prepared to defend myself if attacked.Great video. Jugs make great targets when filled with water.

I was going to say the exact same thing! Great minds think alike!
Think about it, if a bad guy was advancing on you, and all you could see is the light from his flashlight....where are you going to aim and shoot at?
