c6 trans are there any differences.
so i have a 79 f100 2wd 351m with c6, and i bought a 429 with a c6 out of a 1970 passenger car will that tranny work in my truck are there things that wont work or will have to be changed, are the shift points different?

The shifter lever may be either in the up or down position on the C6. Make sure it is the same as your '79. It's not too hard to remove and flip around, just need to drop the pan, trans filter, and then you'll have access to it. Much easier on a bench than already in the truck.
