I have a 1994 Ranger that I want to start using for a work truck. The guy who had it before me put a 3.8 out of a Mercury Sable in it. The oil pan doesn't fit right, and they put the engine in using some spacer nuts. The engine sits crooked, and I can't pull the distributor to set the timing. The engine seems to be in good running order other than timing (I owned the car it came out of), so I'm wondering if there is another oil pan that I could buy that would fit around the differential. Anyone know if something else would fit?
