Marine 460 question

I've searched the forum, and found a couple of "possible" problems with trying to use one of these motors in an automotive application (wrong camshaft for application and/or reverse rotation). If the motor is stripped down to "long block" status, are there any other problems that might arise in trying to replace the motor in my sig vehicle, or will it be a pretty straight forward parts swap?

As far as I know there are no reverse rotation 460 marine engines, I've never seen or heard of one. Cam specs may be a little different but would behave fine in a vehicle. I would look the block over very carefully, a lot of marine engine blocks are cracked and it's not noticed until they are used in a closed pressurized system.

Thanks Mark, I didn't think about that, even though I knew the system had no real pressure. You would think that the higher nickel content would reduce that, but then I've also seen how the "average Joe" treats their motors, when they have one like this.
