Tail Lamp Socket Adapters
I recently purchased a truck bed off a '64 F100 for my '65. I noticed that the tail lamp sockets on the '64 bed have a 90 degree adapter that points the bulb upwards. One of the contacts broke and now im wondering why these adapters are there and why I cant insert the bulb without the adapters.My '65 bed didnt have these. What should I do?

The sockets were only furnished with the R/L taillight bodies.
Same bodies: 1964/66 F100/250 2WD Styleside / 1966 F100 4WD Styleside / 1966 Bronco.
Taillight bodies from 1967/72 F100/350 Styleside & 1967/77 Bronco will fit, but these have backup lights.

Thanks guys I found the contacts at Oreillys in the form of a universal 2 wire lighting socket. I removed the inside of the socket which was the contacts and wires, removed the old ones and the new ones popped right in like the originals. cost me 6 bucks and 15 minutes. btw I eliminated the 90 degree adapter.
