im new and would like to say hi. i have 3 ford trucks a 1990 reg cab full bed 4.9/6 4wheel drive nice body and love the truck. also a 93 f150 ex cab flair side. suppose to be a 93 mustang 5.0 ho gt. body very good needs alittle work. paid $250.00. and need a transmission. $900 for rebuild. also a junk 93 parts truck with a very nice fisher quick mount plow. bought for plow from my father in 94 he paid 4k for it installed and only used for his yard. i put the plow on the 93 flair side a direct bolt in without no modifying. done lots of work to both trucks i do all my own. wife drives flair side and i drive the1990 unless it snows. so now the problem while plowing the idle goes up and down and sometimes stalls. worse in 4low. after some research im thinking the tps. so i figure its time how to use a meter a got a good deal on a new fluke 87.5 in box for $200. so trying to figure out how to use a meter and learning how to test the tps. my readings key on engine off 1.8v at green wire goes up to high 4s i didnt write it down so say 4.85 at wot. ground tested good. i read min of 1.0 volt or less. so does this make my 1.80 a bad tps. ive read people having 3to5 volts at closed throttle so will 1.8v really cause alot of trouble . with all the snow we had and still may come i need the truck running tip top.
