SAS coil spring question

I'm in the process of doing a SAS of a 79 d44 into my 92 f150 and am looking at the Deaver Superflex 6inch lift coils. A friend told me that due to the way the buckets are on the solid that I would end up with closer to 8 inches in the front using these springs. And from research it looks like that will only happen if I drop the coil spring bracket down 2 inches. Can someone shed some light on this for me? Or maybe another coil to use? I guess I'm ultimatly looking for 8 inches of lift. Sorry if this all sounds stupid its my first build and I'm learing off others. Thks guys
