Hi guys. So I've been enjoying my new to me truck so far, but I've got a couple of questions about my rear axle/differential. It's dripping.
Here is the code from the axle tag.
WFE-V3 7FA
4L11 9 393B
I'm pretty sure I've decoded to a Ford 9" with a 4.11 limited slip. If I'm wrong let me know.
When I go to the parts house and ask for the gaskets do I just ask for a gasket for a Ford 9"? What do I need to know? While I'm down there I would like to do any maintenance I can. What are your suggestions? Should I do the rear pinion bearing and seal? I've got the tools and I'm willign to get dirty. What would you do?
