Question. I live in New Mexico elevation about 7200 feet. What level should my 08 F250 be on in the settings on the cluster? It has 1 thur 10. Or does it even matter?
Welcome, Ben. However, I'm not sure what you're talking about. The only such settings I have would be on my trailer brake controller and those are set according to load. The heavier the load, the higher the number. Maybe someone else here is smarter than I am.
I think the gain on the TBC is what he is referring too as well. Here is how I set mine for a starting point.
Flat level road that you can get up to at least 25 mph. Then using the TBC only adjust the gain till the trailer will stop both vehicles without a skid but in short order.

Hi Ben, welcome to FTE!
Remember that this number isn't for your gauges, just your brake controller for electric trailer brakes. If you aren't towing a trailer with electric brakes this setting is meaningless.
Electric brakes aren't affected by altitude, the same setting would work at 1,000 or 10,000 feet.
