I just completed major refit on a recently purchased 2000 XLT. New Rancho 9000XLs, Powerslot rotors with Hawk pads, new ball joints, right front hub. Also new BFGoodrich AT KOs, stock size, and then a front end alignment.
Huge difference, but I have noticed sometimes intense vibration at 65-70. I'm new at a truck this big, so I don't know if thats out of the ordinary or not.
So is this a trip back to the mechanic, or to the tire place.
Often the tire installer will have equipment that balances anywhere between 40-60 mph. Many times a big heavy tire requires some fine tuning and may need to be rebalanced after weight matching the wheel to the tire and at a higher speed (high speed balancing). Should be a simple fix... Good luck
