I have a 99 250 and my electric 4wheeldrive doesnt like to engage sometimes. my 4 high will work here and there and my 4 low idk if it works it doesnt light up as 4 low.
also my air only works on defrost.
and finally today a clicking noise happens when i turn the key to let the glow plugs warm up.
Your hubs are operated by vacuum and so are the heater controls. You most likely have a vacuum leak or no vacuum, so you will need to determine why. You can usually separate the systems and using a vacuum pump to find leaks.
If you have a clicking noise when you turn the ignition on, you more than likely have a battery voltage issue. When the solenoids start randomly clicking it is usually from low voltage or bad connections. Check your batteries for voltage and individually with a load test. While you are there inspect the terminals for corrosion.
thank you for your help i put in new vacuum lines and the 4 wheel drive works good now. in doin that i found out that the clicking noise i was talking about earlier was comming from what i think is my vacuum motor/pump. and my defrost is still the only thing working im guessing it has something to do with the actual fan?
