Changing Engines
We are switching trannys in a 1967 ford f-100 and i was wondering what transmissions would bolt up to a 1967 240 inline 6 engine. we have another ford f-100 that has a automatic we are thinking of using. that ford has a 360 v-8. i don't know what the tranny is in that but i know it is either a c-4 or c-6. we also are considering a 5-speed manual tranny too.

The 360's C6 tranny wont fit 
It has a different bolt pattern.
If you are staying with the 240 you will need an auto tranny that shares the same bolt pattern on the bell housing, I beleive that one from a 300, 302 or a 351W will fit
