Frame Swap

I have the oppertunity to pickup a ton or ton and a half cab and chassis.. beleive its a70 or 71. Has no motor or hood...the inner fenders are rotten as well as the core support and a large part of the Cab. I do have a 73 F250 with good body I would Like to put onto the 70 or 71 frame... is it possible? the 73 is already stripped down to bare cab and no wiring (kinda in the middle of doing that now but have yet to make any connections)

Rearend is good (Checked the gears and fluid this afternoon) it rolls freely with no odd noises. I could just take the Springs, mounts, and rearend (dually) and put on the 73 if the whole body swap will not work. Lets hear your thoughts plz.

Frame Swap

From the cab forward should be a direct bolt on......the box is a little different.
I am in the process of doing the opposite, 69 body onto a 73 frame. The 69 has a 131" wheelbase and the 73 has a 133" wheelbase, so I am told...they do not really measure any different as far as I can tell....but the measuring wasnt really accurate
In theroy the box may be about 1" or so farther back from the cab to line up the wheels in the fenderwell....so I guess that means the way you want to do it the box will be up against the cab and the wheels still wont be really lined up.
Oh just saw you are putting the duallies on.......so maybe you can "cover" this with the big fenders.

Well the bed wouldnt fit anyway as the chassis is 10 feet from the back of the cab to the end of the frame (approx).

I am going with a rollback setup for my collision repair and custom shop =) So the cab and Front Clip mounts are all I was worried about =)

Btw this also means I will have a Very nice F250 2wd frame for sale. Will paint with POR15... what kinda price would something like this go for? the dana 60 with 3.73's go with it as well as the rear springs. Front suspension thou will probably be transfered (disc brakes)
