Automatic shift lever
One of these days I am going to have an answer rather than a question.....until then 2001 F250 CC V10. While shifting the truck from reverse to drive today the end of the automatic shift lever broke. The wires are still intact. Can I buy just the end with th OD switch or do I have to buy the whole lever. If I do what is the part number? Of course all of this happened while I was trouble shooting a problem with the rear brakes. Truck will go forward but will not go backwards. Drags the passenger rear tire. I am thinking a shoe in the e brake came off and is trigging the drum from rolling? I will attempt to fix that tomorrow. Of course it is all at once.

Hope this helps, but...
I replaced the lever in mine because the wires for the OD button were shorting out near the pivot point. The part number is 5C3Z7210AAA and it was around $50 to $60 at the dealer.
My old lever went in the trash, sorry.

Thankx for the information! I am going to try Gorilla glue first. If it doesn't work then I am not out anything. I don't uste the truck much other than plowing and just running around town. I have had it since Nov 09 and only put 5000 miles on it since I bought it.
