I've recently noticed that my interior fan speed is changing noticibly with my rpms. I'm beginning to think I have a bad ground some where. Anyone come across this and have a good place to start? The bronco runs great starts good at 15 below that it was here the other day. Alternator is 2 years old... Voltage regulator? If I hit my power window buttons my headlights will dim a little too. I have not checked batt. Voltage yet, battery is a year old optima red top.
Do your turn signals change flash rate between idle and acceleration? All of it points to a poor ground. Possibly even the negative battery connection to the frame.
I cleaned up all the grounds I could find, no luck. I'm going to grab a new set of battery cables, ford wants 130 for cables. I checked rock auto.com looks like about 30 for each cable... Have any of you guys ordered there cables? I'm pretty stern on buying genuine ford parts when I can, but that's quite expensive....
I make my own from #4 welding cable so I have no idea what a good price is. I'm something of a purist with parts too but things like wire and cable can be had at better prices and better quality over OEM quite readily so I don't sweat replacement with something better or more readily available.

I make my own, too. I also like to weld a stainless bolt to the frame as a connection point.
Do you have a voltage meter? If so put it on the battery and rev the motor and see if it changes as well. It could be a bad alternator, or battery, or both. If the battery is marginal the alternator is only keeping it 'happy' and a draw like the blower would cause drain. You could try turning on the blower, then the headlights and wipers, see if the blower changes speed. If all your grounds check out I suspect a voltage issue.
