I have 33,000mi on my 2001 lariet.I was doing a little spring cleaning cleaning today and noticed that the leather on the seats is starting to split and break apart.Im gonna call the dealer monday and see if they will replace the seat covering.I was wondering if any of you have had this problem.THEY JUST DONT BUILD EM LIKE THEY USED TO!

I have heard that this is a problem. Mine is in the garage most of the time, and I use a windshield sun blocker when out and about. Consequently the seats look brand new after 2.5+ years. I think the sun/heat really does a number on them.

Only my drivers' seat is starting to look worn, due in no small part, I'm sure, to the Texas butt-wear inflicted on it. 
I'm way past my bumper-to-bumper, so I think my next best option is to hunt around for some good conditioner or restorative agent.
Ideas?

My dealer said it has been a common problem and they are going to replace the leather on both seats.I just wonder what they will look like when i have 70,000mi and the dealer wont replace them for free?

Man, you gotta love a dealer that comes through, eh!
Once you get the new leather on, treat it with a conditioner from time to time. Get a quality product from a leather shop.

I have had no problems with my 01 Liariet 90,000 miles I cleaned them at about 6 months after purchase then a condiniser "hell I can't spell" I also have some cheap seat covers. I work in construction So I've only cleaned the inside only twice in 1 1/2 years. It's really dusty inside.
