Well the sun actually shinned here in Barffalo today, so I figured I would stick my body lift it.
I figured I would just do it at home instead of the shop, to see if I could do it with plain old hand tools and not cheat with the lift among other tools to make it easier.
I did the cab first, very easy, total cab took an hour and a half.
Every thing came out and went in with no troubles.
The only thing that gave me a problem was one screw that holds the transfer case lever boot on....if I had esof, I guess it would of been easier
I ran out of time to do the bed today, had to take the girlfriend furniture shopping and all.
I have a feeling the bed bolts are gonna be a PITA I took 2 out and the third wouldn't budge, I dont have heat here, so I may have to head to the shop to get the rest out.
Also, my front bummper mounts will be a PITA also due to how my plow frame mounts, I will have to make something to make it fit good.
Well, besides my back killing me, all is good so far, hopefully wrap it up tomorrow and give it a bath when Im done.
Well, as I predicted, the bed bolts were a pain.
Why they use torx, Ill never know, after killing 2 torx bits, I had to drill the remaining tops off, and then use a cut off wheel to get them at the frame.
All in all, got about 4 hrs total into the body lift, with the bed sucking up 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Everything fit perfect, but like I said before, I have to re configure my front bumper brackets due to my plow frame.
