TPMS problems on 2011 Super Duty

I purchased a new Super Duty and put my normal 2" lift and BFG 37x12.5 Mud Terrains on it. The tires are load range D and require 50 psi for full load. I regularly pull 20,000 lb. trailers and have never had a tire problem and very few flats. Since 1998 this is my 5th Ford set up like this. Surely there is a way to disable or set the pressure down on the moniter system. I've tried putting the moniters in the spare only to find out they go to sleep with no motion. I've also tried putting a pressurized vessel in one of the tires on the pickup with all four sensors and 100psi in the vessel and it lasted 40 miles before saying (tire pressure fault).
Surely I'm not the only person in the world with load range D tires on my pickup. They don't make Load range E tires in 37x12.5 size. I've spent $60,000 on a new Ford and I don't want to look at the warning light. GM and Dodge have addressed this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

There is another thread on this forumn that discusses this problem. Your dealer has the ability to change the TPMS threshold via laptop. Most dealers have been receptive to the idea but some have refused for liability reasons. I would make a trip down to your local dealer and ask them to set the sensors to go off at 40-45 psi, whatever your preference is. It only takes a couple minutes and most dealers wont charge you anything

Did your dealer do this for you on your super duty?

Yes they did it when I picked the vehicle up for delivery. I would try the search function to view the other threads.

My dealer lowered my TPMS threshold to 55 psi because the alert kept coming on at 62psi. No issues since.

just my opinion but I have always ran 60 psi in my front and rear tires on diesel trucks, this is my first ford but I would imagine dodge has similar front end weights. I also haven't ran tires that large so maybe that is another factor.

I have always got even wear across with BFG at's at that pressure. if I was pulling very heavy loads I would think about 80psi in the rears could be needed. running a few extra psi really helps get the best mileage.

Does anybody know of a dealer in Nebraska, Kansas, or Colorado that will make this adjustment for me. My Dealer in central Nebraska will not.

Thanks

Did they give you a reason? I've heard of some dealerships citing "liability", but that's a crock. If anything, their refusal makes them more liable - they are refusing to adjust a system that is *not functioning as intended*. If they did adjust it to the proper PSI, it would once again function as a safety device. I think if you pose it to them that way, they might see the light.

Does anybody know a dealer in NH that'll adjust the TPMS threshold values?

I've been to 3 dealers around the Manchester area and they all cite different BS (liability, it can't be done, federal emissions laws, Ford will void warranty, ...). I've tried very politely refuting their claims but they still refuse.

I'm quite surprised that living in a state with the moto "Live Free or Die" where I can ride a motorcycle without a helmet, buy fireworks whenever I want, etc. that I can't find a dealer willing to make my TPMS work!
