I have tried everything I can think of... driving in revs., pounding the dash, kicking the tires... I can't get the truck out of 4wheel low! I was doing some work around the yard and was muddy from all the snow melting... locked her in to 4wheel low, did my work, then couldnt get it out of 4wheel!! I cant get into 4 wheel high either... it's stuck in low!!!

PLEASE help

 

Ok this usualy works.

Have truck in nuetral, with brakes applied, just pull shifter.
Truck can't be moving at all.

 

I dont know much about the newer stuff, but on the old junk sometimes it would be helpfull to slowly move the vehicle forward/reverse while applying pressure to the shifter. It normally pops right out then.

 

it would help to know if ya have the manual t-case er the dreaded esof.

 

Had the same thing happen to me 4hrs from home out 5 miles on a lake , not a good feeling especially which a bunch of gm and dodge guys.I finally tryed shutting off the motor and put it i N and it just popped right out.When I got home I tryed it again ,same thing, what I did find though is if you shift the trans from R to N and push the T case shifter at the same time it will come out or D to N works too.
