Ford F1 Cab.
I have a question about the cab of my Ford F1.
My uncle has a Ford F5. The cab is the same of my cab, of my Ford F1.
Now I doubt, if I have the right cab.
Can anyone tell me the differents between those two cabs?
Can anyone give me details about the mesurments of the fenders.
I have a "french flathead V8", to build in my truck. I am searching for details about compression ratio, ignition distance, ...
Can anyone help me with a website or document?
I am from Belgium, and never saw a Ford F1 completly rebuild.
It's a rare model here.

Thanks for your interesting information. Now it's clear to me the fenders will be replaced, or adjusted.
I saw your remarque about the running board, with the adjustments needed to make it fit with a Ford F1.
Can you tell me the needed adjustments, to make a fender of a
F5 fitt to a Ford F1?

Are your referring to the item I have about altering short running boards from a flatbed truck to fit a panel truck? I was showing what you had to do to make these boards fit a panel only. The short running boards from a F-1 to F-6 are the same, the F-7&8s are wider and will not fit the smaller trucks.
Fenders from a F-2 through F-6 will bolt up to a F-1 without altering, but the wheel opening is larger than the F-1. My neighbor has the larger fenders on his '51 F-1 and they don't look too bad, it kind of gives it a raised front end look.

You can check out my gallery to see an F1 with F3 fenders. The F3 front fenders are identical to the F5's. Run 16" wheels and it looks pretty good in my 'pinion...................
