Are your referring to the item I have about altering short running boards from a flatbed truck to fit a panel truck? I was showing what you had to do to make these boards fit a panel only. The short running boards from a F-1 to F-6 are the same, the F-7&8s are wider and will not fit the smaller trucks.
Fenders from a F-2 through F-6 will bolt up to a F-1 without altering, but the wheel opening is larger than the F-1. My neighbor has the larger fenders on his '51 F-1 and they don't look too bad, it kind of gives it a raised front end look.
You can check out my gallery to see an F1 with F3 fenders. The F3 front fenders are identical to the F5's. Run 16" wheels and it looks pretty good in my 'pinion...................
